Winning entry of an International Design Competition for the new Club Med facility in San Salvador, Bahamas, the Columbus Isle facility was constructed using prefabricated concrete individual room modules shipped from Louisiana, assembled in stacked pairs creating 4-unit GM (Gracious Member) room blocks. The sprawling arrangement of rooms was to allow ocean view to all guest rooms which are connected to all facilities with a 2-level covered walkway. GO (Gracious Organizer) housing is interspersed along the 2-level covered walkway, facilitating convenient access to Guests.
